Accu-Spina Machine
IDD Therapy is administered through the Accu-Spina machine, a state of the art computer directed spinal-rehab system. The Accu-Spina system is certified to deliver therapeutic treatment forces in a comfortable and soothing manner. The Accu-Spina system is intended to provide a program of treatments for relief from pain and disability for those patients suffering with low back pain. A treatment will consist of a physician prescribed treatment period on the machine and is designed to provide static, intermittent, and cycling distraction forces to relieve pressures on structures that may be causing low back pain.
How it works:
The patient is secured to the machine with both a stabilization chest and pelvic harness to ensure exact positioning and total comfort during treatment. The bed is designed with comfort and safety in mind. The bed rotates into the vertical position to easily accommodate patients, even when incapacitated from pain. A premium sound system with headphones offers a choice of soothing sounds or music. A certified back specialist manages each 30 minute treatment session. The treatment regimen, comprised of approximately 20-30 session, lasts about 30 days.
